Associate Director, FP&A

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, FP&A to join our FP&A team. This role will be a key business partner to functional leaders across the organization, providing a high level of finance support. The role will drive financial planning, analysis, provide support for strategic decisions and supports alignment between functional activities and broader company objectives.
In addition, this role will play a key part in developing and enhancing planning and reporting tools to further strengthen our processes, data quality and our state-of-the-art systems (SAP SAC, Power BI).
We are looking for a dynamic personality who is willing to work in a developing environment while maintaining the focus on the main responsibilities. In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Global FP&A.
Key Accountabilities
- Business partner to functional leaders across the organization
- Monitor department budgets and spend to ensure accurate postings
- Perform key tasks within the Finance team to ensure that reporting is both timely & accurate
- Complete ad-hoc financial analysis of projects to ensure sound financial support the decision-making process
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting cycles for your designated departments, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient execution
- Support the Head of Global FP&A in consolidation of annual budget, KPIs, quarterly forecasts and analysis and other regular or ad-hoc tasks
- Works in close collaboration with IT department to support the translation of business requirements into the systems
- Master Data Management: input, maintenance, improvements, contribute to the development of reports in Business intelligence tool
Experience requirements
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, business finance, or controlling
- Preferably with multi-national/global companies in Pharma or Biotech Sector
- Experience working in corporate environment as well as cross functional collaborations
Key Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent; preferred in business/finance/accounting or related field
- Strong business acumen and understanding of strategic planning processes
- Hands-on experience with financial planning and reporting tools (SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or similar)
- US GAAP knowledge is a plus
- Good analytical, planning and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with external and internal partners
- Clear sense of priorities, meeting deadlines and timely planning of recurring tasks and closing requirements
- Autonomous working-style
- Fluent in English; German is an asset
