We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join our FP&A team. The primary focus will be on R&D, Supply Chain and product costing.
The role acts as a key FP&A business partner across Research, Clinical Development, and Technical Operations, providing end-to-end financial support across the product lifecycle – from early research and clinical development through manufacturing scale-up to commercial supply. It is responsible for leading planning processes, delivering insightful analysis to support portfolio and operational decision-making, and ensuring robust financial visibility on R&D activities and pipeline assets.
The position also owns the product costing framework, including standard and actual costing, inventory valuation, and COGS analysis, supporting profitability and supply chain optimization. In addition, the role drives monthly closing and performance reporting, partners with senior stakeholders across functions, and contributes to the continuous improvement of financial systems, tools, and processes to enhance data quality, automation, and decision support.

Key Accountabilities
- Act as a strategic finance partner to Research, Clinical Development and TechOps / Supply Chain
- Support senior stakeholders (CSO, Head of Clinical Development, TechOps) with financial insights to drive operational and portfolio decisions
- Drive financial visibility on pipeline assets, including business cases and scenario analysis. Contribute to pipeline strategy and product lifecycle management
- Lead and consolidate budget, forecast and long-range planning process across all R&D functions
- Lead monthly closing, reporting and variance analysis across R&D and supply chain areas
- Own and continuously improve the end-to-end product costing framework (COGS)
- Manage standard costing, actual costing and variance analysis, and inventory valuation and monitoring
- Perform key tasks within the Finance team to ensure that reporting is both timely & accurate
- Support the Head of Global FP&A in consolidation of annual budget, KPIs, quarterly forecasts and analysis and other regular or ad-hoc tasks
Experience requirements
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A within multi-national/global companies in Pharma/Biotech, covering R&D and / or Supply Chain
- Strong experience working across end-to-end product lifecycle is highly desirable
- Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders in a global organization
Key Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent; preferred in business/finance/accounting or related field
- Strong business acumen and understanding of strategic planning processes
- Solid understanding of product costing, inventory and supply chain finance principles
- Hands-on experience with financial planning and reporting tools (SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or similar)
- US GAAP knowledge is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with external and internal partners
- Clear sense of priorities, meeting deadlines and timely planning of recurring tasks and closing requirements
- Autonomous working-style
- Fluent in English; German is an asset
