We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientific Associate to join our dynamic and committed Analytical Development team.
In this role, you will perform analytical method development, optimization, validation activities and stability testing supporting pharmaceutical development of drug products.
You will combine strong technical expertise with scientific problem-solving and collaborate across development functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, validate and implement analytical methods.
- Execute and review analytical testing including stability and validation analyses.
- Write up and review analytical protocols and reports, e.g., for development, validation and stability studies according to good documentation practices.
- Writing and reviewing of internal documentation e.g. SOPs and GUIs,
- Mentor juniors.
- Handling of laboratory equipment according to respective procedures.
- Ensures cleanliness of laboratory and workspace.
- Follows the processes defined in Guidelines and procedures.
- Participation in meetings at intra- and inter-departmental level.
Candidate's requirements
Apprenticeship-, College-, or university-degree or equivalent education in the field of chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, or chemical engineering. 4-10 years of relevant pharmaceutical analytical development experience, depending on educational background and demonstrated expertise.
- Ability to efficiently plan, execute and document analytical experiments in a GXP-compliant pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience in leading development/optimization and validation activities and reviewing peer data.
- Hands-on experience in developing and performing analytical tests for drug products.
- Good knowledge of separation and spectroscopic instrumentation. e.g., HPLC, UV/VIS, IR.
- Good knowledge of dissolution methods
- Good troubleshooting skills; and experienced in leading root-cause analysis within the lab.
- Good knowledge of Empower and/or Chromeleon
- Result driven attitude, apply agile ways of working.
- Good communication and team-work skills.
- Plans own work; and execute according to procedures. Anticipates needs and risks.
- Life-long learning mindset and strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to present results, interpret data, and draw conclusions.
- Proficient in English.
