Job Responsibilities


The Data Scientists in Clinical Pharmacology support every aspect in data collection and evaluation of early clinical studies. Responsibilities range from creation of electronic case record forms (eCRF) to data validation and creation of CDISC (SDTM) data sets and statistical analysis. We are looking for a biostatistician, statistical programmer, or data manager with the following skills and experiences:

  • Conduct of statistical data analysis using SAS or R
  • Statistical analysis plan (SAP) writing and execution in collaboration with clinical pharmacologists
  • Exploratory data analysis using tables and graphics
  • Design and implementation of electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs)
  • Writing data management related documentation
  • Validation check programming, review and testing
  • Query management
  • Data review and listing preparation for medical review
  • SDTM dataset provision with corresponding SDTM-annotated CRF
  • Database lock execution
  • Data archiving
  • Review of the data management section of the study protocol and the clinical study report
  • Setup, monitoring, maintenance, and supervision of the EDC system
  • Provision of study data to statisticians and modeling & simulation scientists
  • Provision of input into the selection and qualification of third party vendors
  • Management and supervision of data management CROs or external vendor providers
  • Working according to ICH GCP and other relevant guidelines
  • Ensuring that all functional activities meet defined timelines, budget and quality specifications
  • Management, maintenance and definition of data management processes and standards
  • Following relevant quality control procedures


Candidate's Requirements


  • Bachelor or higher degree in a relevant subject
  • Experience within biostatistics, statistical programming and/or clinical data management
  • Familiarity with relevant guidelines
  • Experience with programming languages (SAS, R)
  • Pro-active and self-motivated personality
  • Flexible but persistent and result-oriented
  • Fluency in English
