Job Responsibilities

 

  • Operate, monitor, support and deploy systems and services running on Idorsia AWS infrastructure
  • Design, architect and implement infrastructure and services for new systems and new applications (compute, storage, backups, archiving, file shares…)
  • Identify and use appropriate AWS/cloud services, to support Idorsia applications
  • Ensure that IT operations of infrastructure systems/services are performed according to Idorsia IT Service Management standards
  • Ensure that proper documentation is complete and up-to-date, especially for regulatory relevant systems, solutions and services (GxP compliance)
  • Perform 2nd level support for issues unresolved by 1st level support
  • Understand business needs and translate them into IT requirements
  • Initiate or take part in proof-of-concepts, to propose and develop new solutions resolving business demands

 

 

Candidate’s Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably minimum 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Three or more years of experience in a System Engineer or DevOps Engineer role, working on IT infrastructure operations (Windows and Linux)
  • Three or more years of experience with AWS technologies
  • Five years of experience in software development or scripting, using languages such as Java, Python, Ruby or web languages (HTML/JS/CSS)
  • Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer is a plus
  • Experience working with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Chef, Terraform or Ansible is a plus
  • Very good interpersonal skills: team player, highly self-motivated, autonomous, proactive, user oriented, open to change, ability to work in a dynamic team
  • Strong IT Service Management orientation
  • Strong writing / documentation / communication skills
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical regulations within GxP environments
  • Good analytical skills, ability to understand business requirements and to transform them into IT solutions
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), French and/or German is a plus
