As an HR Business Partner at Idorsia you have the opportunity to manage and contribute on the full range of HR life cycle processes and projects, working closely with all levels of the organization, and make a real impact on building our exciting company.

 

We are a multinational team of 17 highly professional, enthusiastic and customer-oriented HR colleagues in Switzerland, delivering in an entrepreneurial scientific environment as well as having fun along the way.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Contribute to the business strategy by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes
  • Manage recruitment and staffing process end-to-end by defining the hiring need together with the hiring line managers, screening and selecting candidates, handling job offers and liaising with HR Services
  • Support line management in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy
  • Drive the people processes (performance, development, and engagement) to ensure that employees’ level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards
  • In close conjunction with leaders, implement change initiatives and guide line managers and employees during this process
  • Provide advice and coaching to employees where appropriate or guide them to respective sources
  • Facilitate employee relationship (induction, development, coaching, mentoring, underperformance, termination etc.)
  • Understand employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns
  • Collaborate closely with HR Services and provide them with input and data regarding employee life cycle changes
  • Effective collaboration with HR expert functions (Total Rewards, Integrated Talent Management, HR Analytics, etc.)
  • Continuously participate in the optimization, design, redesign and implementation of tools and processes improving HR-efficiency and contribute to/or lead assigned HR projects or activities
  • Deliver local on-boarding program
  • Maintain close contact with other HR Business Partners to work in synchronization
  • Ensure defined processes and approval flows are followed, foster development of ethics and compliance awareness and oversee full compliance to HR policies and procedures and employment related laws and regulations

 

Candidate’s Requirements 

 

  • Minimum Bachelor or equivalent degree with a preference for specialized qualification in HR or job relevant work experience
  • More than 5 years of experience as HR Generalist/Business Partner in an international environment in Life Sciences
  • Good knowledge of all HR operational processes (e.g. remuneration review cycle, performance management, talent acquisition and development, annual budgeting, etc.)
  • Experience in managing full recruitment & staffing process
  • Proven record of defining and implementing new processes and organizational changes based on customer needs
  • Knowledge of Swiss labor law and regulations is an advantage
  • Proactive, pragmatic, with a proven track record of driving things through to completion
  • Very strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills with the capability to engage at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively deal with ambiguity and challenge status quo
  • Solution oriented with a sense of urgency and high customer orientation
  • Team player with a sense of humor, fostering collaboration and at ease to develop relationships
  • Experienced computer and relevant software user
  • Business fluency in written and spoken English is a must; knowledge of German and/or French would be an asset
