We are looking for an enthusiastic and really motivated Publications Manager to join our team !

 

Key Responsibilities :

 

  • Lead the Scientific Communications Group, which is a cross-functional team with the goal to align, develop and execute a Scientific Communication Plan for a given compound

  • Support the development and delivery of high quality, scientifically accurate publications in a timely and ethical manner and in accord with the Idorsia Publication Policy

  • Key responsibilities include:

    • Support the strategic development and update of publication plans across one or several therapeutic areas

    • Facilitate the timely and ethical delivery of planned publications

    • Effectively and appropriately consult and liaise with internal and external authors and other publication stakeholders

    • Manage, track and report publication budgets

    • Assist with the evaluation, selection, and management of medical communication agencies

    • Identify and drive process improvement and sharing of best practices to further enhance the efficiency of publication processes and system

  • May provide medical writing support

 

Requirements :

 

  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD or MS) preferred, professional certification/credential (e.g., CMPP) is a must.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant publication management experience within the pharmaceutical industry and/or a medical communication agency

  • Thorough knowledge of industry and publication best practices and relevant guidelines

  • Proven ability to execute tactical publication plans

  • Proven ability to develop a strategic publication plan

  • Experience in presenting publication strategy to senior management/stakeholders

  • Proven ability to implement and/or maintain publication processes, standards, and systems – knowledge of an electronic publication management system (e.g. PubStrat/DataVision) is a must

  • Demonstrated project management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environment

  • Ability to drive alignment cross-functionally and partner with key internal and external stakeholders; strong relationship management and influencing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Fluent in English, native speaking preferred

  • Medical writing experience is preferred
