Job Responsibilities

The main purpose of HR systems business analyst is:

  • Partnering with the global HR organization to drive the digitalization of the corresponding business areas worldwide
  • Partnering with global Procurement and Finance organization for managing and optimizing T&E systems and processes
  • Building, maintaining, and operating around the clock reliably and cost-effectively the corresponding information systems
  • Supporting HR business processes like:
    • Employee Central
    • Compensation, benefits
    • Performance management
    • Payroll
    • Recruiting
    • On- and Offboarding
    • Talent management
    • Workforce planning
    • Time and Absence management
  • Supporting Travel and Expense processes like:
    • Travel booking according to travel policy
    • Travel agency integration
    • Expense handling according to expense policy
    • Workflow management
    • Supporting analytics of T&E data


Specific responsibilities


  • Advising business partners on the implications of IT-enabled change and working with them to mitigate business risk and deliver a positive user experience
  • Develop relationships across HR and T&E business functions and seek to proactively identify ways for GIS to contribute to achieving and exceeding business objectives and drive the delivery of innovative business solutions to create maximum competitive advantage
  • Owning the demand management process across HR and T&E business functions and developing deep understanding of business processes, future plans, changes and needs, lead key engagement initiatives to understand demand – utilize this information to maintain overall HR and T&E systems roadmap
  • Lead the creation of business cases to determine the impacts of IT solutions and/or changes on business areas and roles – business cases should include a high-level understanding of the need, assumptions, solution options, alternatives, benefits (tangible and intangible) and a strong understanding of the business requirements
  • Lead on undertaking Business Analysis and requirements gathering (on case by case basis)  
  • Lead on ensuring that benefits realization activities are undertaken post implementation and as such are consistent with project deliverables and clearly understood by stakeholders and project team. 
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with national and international regulations, such as, but not limited to, GxP, GDPR, COSO




  • This function requires in-depth technical competencies in HR and T&E systems with equally advanced knowledge of the HR and T&E business processes.
  • In this function the person needs to capture and translate business requirements into technical solutions, shielding the users from the technical complexity.
  • The complexity is also driven by varying needs of the different countries in the practices and regulations of business processes.
  • Another driver of complexity is the necessity of having good communication skills while also being skilled in operational management and negotiating with colleagues across the business in global and country-based teams.


Reach and global scope


  • This function interacts with HR and T&E teams worldwide, and corresponding regional functions.
  • This function has also an extensive interaction with vendors, partners, and external and internal auditors 


Candidate’s Requirements 


  • Minimum of University Degree – (Computer Science, Information Systems, preferred)
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in the area of Human Resource and Travel and Expense IT
  • Strong knowledge of HR and T&E business processes
  • Strong knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors tools and practices
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Concur tools and practices
  • Strong knowledge of systems architecture and integrations
  • Strong Program and Project Management skills
  • Broad understanding of overall Information Technology
  • Ability to network and leverage strong internal and external resources and expertise to understand business challenges and opportunities and deliver relevant IT solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong customer orientation and responsiveness, stakeholder’s management skills, including interaction with the global and local HR and T&E management.
