We are looking for a motivated and proactive Corporate Communication Specialist/Manager who understands the importance of good communication, writes well, can work under pressure, knows how to herd cats, is well-versed with digital communication channels, and appreciates the visual appeal of the Idorsia brand. 

Communication is a key prerequisite and is integral for both a positive reputation and stakeholder commitment. In clinical trials, it is increasingly more evident that communication between the various stakeholders, including the study participants, needs to be well-thought out and well-presented. To that point, Corporate Communications has been functioning as an advisor and a core team member to different clinical study teams to create communication and engagement strategies and plans, development professional print and digital materials, support the IRB/EC submission, and help identify areas of potential communication issues and support the team to address them. 


  • Work closely with Corporate Brand and Digital Communications lead on the execution of communication materials for the various clinical studies
  • Execute the study-specific communications (from drafting to ensure the right reviews are completed to publishing), based on the Engagement and Communication Strategy and plan
  • Oversee the communications plan and follow up with channel and content owners to make sure that materials are developed, reviewed, and sent in a timely manner
  • Create monthly “upcoming communications” dashboard
  • Maintain various study and study-related websites
  • Work closely with the study teams to understand communication challenges
  • Work closely with the study teams to understand key metrics and how to share them with the various stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain the study-related public websites 
  • Maintain the study portal 
  • As needed, support any additional digital channels needed for study communications




  • Experienced communication professional with a minimum of 3-5 years in corporate or clinical development communication required
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical companies ideal, bonus if there is familiarity with clinical development projects. GCP (Good Clinical Practice) certification a plus but not required
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Strong people skills 
  • Excellent English (spoken and written) required
  • Expert use of Microsoft Office package necessary
  • Good working experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus
  • Experience with website development and use of a Content Management System ideal
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to work flexibly in a team environment
