Job Responsibilities
The Head of Global Supply Chain leads the design and execution of an end-to-end global supply chain across Development, Manufacturing, and Commercial Operations.
The role oversees planning (IBP/S&OP), external manufacturing and sourcing, logistics and distribution, and master data, ensuring a scalable, agile, and compliant supply chain.
Working cross-functionally, the VP drives forecasting, supports product launches, optimizes financial flows, and builds a high-performing team, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a dynamic environment.
- Design, implement, and lead an end-to-end Global Supply Chain organization, covering planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.
- Define and execute a scalable, agile, and digital supply chain strategy supporting both product launches and long-term growth.
- Establish and lead Integrated Business Planning (IBP) / Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to align demand, supply, and financial plans.
- Develop and implement best-in-class forecasting models and systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment with commercial and R&D pipelines.
- Oversee external manufacturing and sourcing activities (drug substance and drug product), ensuring supply reliability, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Design and optimize global logistics and distribution networks across US, EU, and Asia, including warehousing and transportation strategies.
- Define and manage country-specific distribution models and select/oversee third-party partners (CMOs, wholesalers, logistics providers).
- Ensure full GDP compliance and adherence to all applicable regulatory and quality standards across the supply chain.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives, including process standardization, lean practices, and performance management.
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) supply readiness in close collaboration with R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Tax, HR, Market Access, and R&D to ensure alignment on forecasts, supply plans, and financial flows.
- Manage key relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including CMOs, distributors, and governmental bodies.
- Own and manage the Global Supply Chain budget, including planning, sourcing, logistics, and operational costs.
- Monitor market demand and supply performance, analyze trends, and adjust supply plans accordingly to ensure product availability.
- Lead transformation and change management initiatives within a dynamic and evolving global environment.
Candidate's Requirements

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field

Fluent in English; French and/or German is an asset

Minimum 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain management, ideally within the Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical industry

Experience across primary care and specialty care supply chains, including external manufacturing models (CMOs)

Proven experience supporting product launches and/or development phases

Strong track record in building and leading supply chain teams at regional or global level

Experience in both large, best-in-class organizations and scaling supply chain functions in smaller or growing environments

Strong exposure to pan-European supply chains; experience in North America and Asia is a plus

Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and GxP (GMP & GDP) requirements

Good understanding of regulatory frameworks, including launches, tech transfers, and supplier qualification

Strong expertise in forecasting and integrated supply chain planning (IBP/S&OP)

Strong financial and analytical skills

Proven project management experience with complex, cross-functional initiatives, including IT-related projects
