We are looking for a Team leader Compound Management to join our company to support the Research Division !
Job Responsibilities
As Team Leader Compound Management, you are responsible for a wide range of tasks. Many of these are routine processes that must run reliably to keep our research going. Other project-related tasks require a scientific approach and a trained chemist’s eye. You will work with 1 experienced direct report and are embedded in the HTS and Lead Discovery Group.
- Manage the daily production of quality-controlled DMSO solution aliquots and the fulfillment of powder and solution orders for all Drug Discovery Departments
- Manage and fulfill orders for building blocks, including reception, registration, manual picking, and storage in compliance with Swiss safety regulations
- Manage ChemShop, our medicinal chemistry building block supply center
- Physically produce new screening libraries
- For each screening campaign, produce assay-ready plates for the HTS teams
- Support the creation of automated workflows for compound preparation across all Drug Discovery Departments, aiming at enhancing throughput and efficiency
- Member of the Compound Library Committee, working closely with computational and medicinal chemists throughout the year, to drive the screening library evolution
- Operate, maintain, and develop the team’s diverse automation platforms
- In collaboration with the corporate IT team, improve software applications where required
- Foster customer service and quality-oriented mindset, minimize service breakdowns
Candidate's Requirements
This job requires a combination of strong people skills, management competence, advanced lab automation experience, and familiarity with medicinal chemistry needs. This is not a pure office job; candidates must also perform hands-on lab work. We expect the ability to combine reliability and precision with efficiency.

- University degree in chemistry or pharmaceutical science
- Several years of professional experience in industrial drug discovery or an academic screening center
- Strong team management and communication skills in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Proficiency in English
