Director, Marketing - HCP Promotion US

Each member of the Daridorexant (insomnia product) marketing team will have responsibilities for developing key components of the US launch strategy.

 

The primary functional focus of the Director of HCP Promotion Marketing is to:

 

  • Provide expertise on the insomnia market place (i.e., patient, physician, payer) to shape strategy and execution planning
  • Develop HCP strategy and support execution against those strategies to maximize the asset
  • Appropriately leverage clinical insights to develop messages and strategies to deliver on meaningful outcomes for patients
  • Explore and pursue new opportunities to further expand brand growth and productivity penetration
  • Opportunities to lead others both directly and indirectly
  • Lead and partner with business analytics and market insights to better understand key stakeholders, product utilization, and market trends to inform strategic direction
  • Develop and support approval / execution of key marketing resources (e.g., core visual aid, iPad assets, NPP, etc.) to support strategic goals (in partnership with key functions)
  • Key point of contact for internal promotional review team to drive toward resource approvals
  • Establish and monitor commercial performance metrics to gauge ROI of key strategies and/or necessary pivots to current strategy
  • Partner with sales leaders to ascertain strategic clarity to ensure we are meeting the needs of customers nationally, sub-nationally, and locally with the appropriate resources
  • Plan and execute on POA meetings and other key training meetings (e.g. National Sales Meeting)
  • Work closely and collaborate with other key marketing teams (e.g. consumer, professional education) to deliver on overall marketing strategy / goals
  • Work cross functionally with sales and payer teams to find synergies and maintain a consistent brand strategy across customers

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline; MBA strongly preferred 
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in sales / marketing functions
  • Demonstrated success leading and mentoring others
  • Demonstrated experience in critical marketing competencies is required
  • Insomnia knowledge and background is highly preferred
  • Insomnia sales/marketing experience is highly preferred. 
  • Previous pharma sales or sales management experience is preferred
  • Experience with strategic planning and tactical execution preferred

  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with departments within the commercial organization as well as with the broader organization (clinical development, manufacturing, regulatory/ legal, etc.)
  • Experience developing commercial insights and applying to business needs
  • Ability to blend strategic thinking with genuine interest in tactical execution
  • Strong business acumen and sense of urgency in sharing critical information with relevant stakeholders 
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing, ambiguous environment in an organization without fully established procedures
  • Strong commitment to compliant and ethical behavior
  • Ability to develop clear, pragmatic solutions to complex problem
