The Associate Director of Customer Insights will be part of the launch team focused on aligning strategic brand insights with tactical execution.  This role partners with internal and external clients to provide objective and in-depth insights based on primary market research and secondary analytics.  Working as a strategic insights advisor to the commercial team, the individual participates actively in insights planning efforts, market strategy recommendations, and ensures all analytical plans and objectives are met.  The individual serves as an insights strategist related to the launch development, product performance, HCP & Consumers, and competitive products. Additionally, the position ensures that all analytical projects are implemented based on the most appropriate methodologies, and key results are synthesized into easily understandable and persuasive presentations with insights that can have a measurable impact on the business. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

The Associate Director of Customer Insights is a critical business partner for the US Commercial team who drives strategic insights into decision making. 

 

The Associate Director, Customer Insights will:
⦁    Develop and execute product-specific insights plans 
⦁    Lead the primary insights and secondary market research workstreams 
⦁    Identify key business issues, drivers, and barriers that impact short-term and long-range product performance; 
⦁    Pro-actively raise business challenges, issues, and opportunities
⦁    Define market research processes and capabilities in primary research, including digital and data access solutions
⦁    Champion the use of customer insights in strategic and tactical decisions across the business 
⦁    Monitor the external environment to stay up to date on leading analytical and market research capabilities

 

Candidate requirements


⦁    BS/BA in Business/Economics/Social Science/Life Science; Master’s Degree preferred 
⦁    7+ years of customer insights experience in pharma or related fields
⦁    Broad and deep experience with both qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies in a pre-launch and launch pharma setting
⦁    Proven track record in working as an insights partner in a matrix organization to support marketing, market access, sales analytics, and senior management in the launch of key assets. 
⦁    Experience in primary care and specialty pharma launches a plus
⦁    Strong experience in bridging business priorities with relevant strategic insights solutions  
⦁    Experience in building, deploying, and embedding capabilities into an organization
⦁    Experience in working across primary and secondary data insights
⦁    Reportable accomplishments around converting derived insight into actionable strategic and tactical guidance 
⦁    Proven record of successfully driving an insights plan for a brand towards and beyond launch
