IT Business Partner - Commercial/Sales

Reporting into the US Commercial & Medical IT Lead, this role will partner with Sales and Market Access business leaders to establish and deliver on IT strategic roadmaps to support new product launches.  The IT Business Partner (Commercial/Sales) will be responsible for the relationship with the below Business Functions and related technologies:


Business Functions:

  • Commercial Sales (Field Sales, Sales Ops, Sales Analytics, Sales Training)
  • Commercial Market Access (NAMs, RAMs,)


Related Technologies:

  • Veeva Capabilities; Network, Open Data, Align, CRM, CLM, RTE, Engage, etc
  • Veeva Vault – PromoMats
  • LMS systems leveraged by Commercial


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for partnering & developing key strategic relationships with Commercial Sales Business functions.   Establish Commercial IT roadmaps designed to align technology to the purpose of achieving and exceeding business objectives.
  • Influence gain commitment & drive adoption of global IT capabilities.
  • Leverage industry best practices to drive innovative solutions both at the affiliate and global level.
  • Ensure solutions support launch excellence and enabling Commercial field teams, allowing them to enhance customer engagement.
  • Responsible for Commercial Sales IT demand planning & portfolio management, solution identification, evaluation & prioritization.  Conduct Power User meetings to review major system changes and solicit ideas for future enhancements to the system.
  • Continue to support and encourage the US Commercial organization in the adoption and utilization of Veeva CRM suite of products.
  • Support business in establishing Contract Sales Organization and key Sales processes such as Pre-Interaction Planning, Interaction Capture, and Next Interaction for US Dari launch.
  • Work with outside vendors to incorporate Xponent, Xponent Plantrak, call/sample/detail data from Veeva, alignments, and other data feeds into Commercial Data Warehouse to support related analytics.
  • Partner with Sales Training to define Field Coaching Reports and connection back to Learning Management Systems
  • Establish initial partnership engagement with Managed Markets field teams to define support need.
  • Establish US Compliance review process that tracks content from LMRC to CRM deployment. 



  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT field.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8 to +10 years’ experience as Business Partner/Business Analyst, preferably Commercial Sales IT Pharma Space
  • Expertise in Veeva CRM
  • Experience in Veeva PromoMats/Vault
  • Product launch Experience
