Job Responsibilities


  • Continuous improvement of procedures, evaluation and implementation of new in vivo models and methods
  • Planning and designing preclinical studies to address project-related questions
  • Full responsibility of experimental studies and writing the necessary authorization needed to perform the scientific work
  • Collaborating and communicating with internal and external researchers
  • Regular reporting to and scientific discussions with research groups at Idorsia headquarters
  • Writing experimental protocols
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation as required by Idorsia and local authorities
  • Writing scientific reports and contributing to IB of novel drug candidates
  • Quality check and sealing of electronic journal
  • Evaluation and interpretation of complex experimental data including statistical analysis
  • Retrieving information from literature for new hypothesis creation
  • Presenting the results of the scientific work to internal and/or external audiences, defending the results, arguing and taking responsibility
  • Being involved in several research projects at the same time
  • Contributing to the discovery of novel medicines within a multidisciplinary team
  • Challenging status quo of projects/techniques and approaches, looking for new ways
  • Challenging own behavior and continuously seeks to improve
  • Ability to lead, to coach and develop a lab team (~2 employees)


 Candidate’s Requirements


  • PhD/PharmD degree in the field of oncology, immuno-oncology 
  • Several years of hands-on experience in rodent experimentation
  • Technological skills and an understanding of computer aided solutions
  • Several years of research experience overseas is considered a plus
  • Understanding of the Drug Discovery processes
  • Excellent knowledge of Chinese and English (spoken and written)
  • Good communication and networking skills, flexible mindset
